At the Geneva watch fair SIHH in January of this year the Italian brand Panerai presented a new Submersible, which?is dedicated to the French free-diving world champion Guillaume Nery. After breaking several personal records in 2015, Nery retired from professional diving sports and became an ambassador of the seas. PAM00982 (right)The new modelis water-resistant to a depth of about 300 metres or 30 bar and fitted with a unidirectional rotating bezel, which displays the duration of a diving session. Its luminous markers, which stand out against the dark grey, textured backround, guarantee legibility under all lighting conditions and in complete darkness. On the screw back Nery's signature and the depths of his final record, 126 metres, are engraved.The watch's case is made of titanium. The ceramic disc applied to the bezel, the hands and the rubber strap are blue. The chronographhas a fly-back function and a device for zeroing the seconds hand to enable synchronisation with a reference signal.
