Having risen to prominence with its Fifty Fathoms watch collection, Blancpain has a huge global following and upholds its reputation as one of the world's oldest and most successful self-proclaimed watch manufacturers to have ever been. Throughout its history, the brand has never manufactured a battery-powered wristwatch, instead becoming a pioneer in developing tourbillons and expert dive watches. The Fifty Fathoms watch initially began life as a dive tool prototype but has since been proving its reliability as one of the world's best luxury diving watches since 1953. Although the Fifty Fathoms range is, no doubt, the most well-known and important watch collection, the brand also offers a comprehensive Villeret watch collection, where everything from classically elegant dress watches to sophisticated complications can be found. Whilst the Ultraplate models of this collection are incredibly slim, measuring just over 10mm thick, other models add a technical level to any growing collection with several moon phase displays, tourbillons and minute repeaters to choose from.
