So lets delve into this watch and what an amazing find this piece and how RARE it actually is!? This watch goes back to a time when movements were shared and used by other brands – that’s right – this is a Chronostop movement originally made by Omega many years before this Radiomir was made.? The movements powering these very few PAM78 models were probably made back in the 60’s or 70’s until they were used and re-finished by Panerai for use in this very limited release PAM78.? Panerai back in the late 90’s and early 2000’s were using third party movements from different sources and in-house movements were a thing of the future.? Panerai sequestered the Omega Caliber 920 Chronostop movement to build this white gold Radiomir in a supremely limited run of ONLY 75 pieces EVER MADE in the 42mm case.
